Hey, it's fun. Life should be fun. And bookbuying
should be downright magical.
You've been looking for a book for years and suddenly
here you are, in your housecoat and slippers, reading that we have
a copy of it.
If it's in stock, (and the chance is 99 per cent that
it will
be) then it will be on its way to your home
within six to 24 hours..
But
you don't like the idea of giving your credit card to strangers
?

We buy a dozen books a week from other Internet booksellers
and use our personal cards for all of these transactions.
In fact, we have had many more problems
dealing with amateurs
among the E-Bay auction sellers than Internet booksellers (especially
members of the IOBA -- Independent
Online Booksellers Association) and who accept credit cards.
Studies have shown that online transactions are often
safer than credit card transactions in restaurants and department
stores.
How well do you know that waiter or clerk, an underpaid
and motivated stranger? Waiters have been known to sell card receipts
to gang members. This is not news. More card numbers are stolen
in retail transactions than in Internet transactions.
Retailers take a greater risk accepting cards than
purchasers take in using a card on the Internet. If your retailer
has a merchant account with Visa and Mastercard, that is because
they are trusted by their banks and have an establishd record as
a merchant.
People
who like books are great people. We have done thousands of card
transactions without a single instance of abuse. Look at a few of
our potential problem cases.
